The challenge
The challenge I faced was redesigning the timeline of a ship's identity transmission, which often changes over the years, appearing as different ships. The existing system lacked clarity, making it difficult for users to understand the transmission history and identify potential issues. The secrecy surrounding the system prevented me from sharing specific examples, but even a glimpse of the fuzzy component would reveal the loss of crucial details. Considering the diverse user base, including individuals with limited knowledge of the maritime industry, it was evident that we needed to create a more intuitive solution.
